HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. has announced plans through its subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing Inc., to construct a 320 megawatt (MW) AI gigafactory in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This facility, expected to be one of the largest in Canada, will support the deployment of over 100,000 GPUs when fully operational.

The project, costing approximately CAD $3.5 billion, aims to strengthen domestic compute capabilities and support the growth of enterprise, research, and public sector AI applications.
