In a significant stride for enterprise automation, Automation Anywhere has launched EnterpriseClaw, a new capability designed to enable organizations to run claw-style AI agents across diverse environments, including cloud, desktop, and on-premises systems. Developed in partnership with Cisco, NVIDIA, Okta, and OpenAI, this initiative aims to change how businesses approach AI-driven operations by enhancing security and control.

Expanding the Scope of AI Agents

The rapidly evolving field of AI agents has seen increased experimentation with claw-style functionality, allowing agents to execute tasks directly within applications and systems. Traditionally, these agents have been tailored for individual users in isolated environments. EnterpriseClaw expands their utility across enterprise operations, enabling teams to deploy autonomous agents that can function across varied infrastructures while maintaining centralized governance and oversight.

Mihir Shukla, CEO of Automation Anywhere, emphasized the need to integrate AI where work is performed. He stated, "For AI to have a transformational impact on business, it needs to be able to do work where the work actually happens." This highlights EnterpriseClaw's goal of equipping organizations with the tools to effectively employ AI across multiple platforms, including sensitive environments where data security is critical.

Collaborative Security Framework

The launch of EnterpriseClaw coincides with the integration of AI into business processes, which presents new security challenges. The collaboration with Cisco introduces the AI Defense and DefenseClaw solutions, providing a comprehensive security layer specifically for agents. DJ Sampath, Senior Vice President at Cisco, noted the necessity for integrated security: "The widespread use of AI agents introduces an entirely new attack surface, making proactive, integrated security non-negotiable for enterprise adoption."

NVIDIA's contribution includes the OpenShell runtime and the latest Nemotron models, which are essential for deploying self-evolving agents securely. Kari Briski, Vice President of Generative AI at NVIDIA, stressed the importance of trust in these deployments, saying, "Enterprises are deploying AI agents across their most critical workflows, and the question is no longer whether agents can do the work, but whether they can be trusted to do it safely."

Identity Management in AI Operations

Okta's involvement ensures that identity management and authentication controls are integrated within EnterpriseClaw, allowing for rigorous policy enforcement. Ely Kahn, Chief Product Officer of Okta, remarked, "AI Agents must have first-class identities. Okta's integration with EnterpriseClaw will ensure agents operate with the same rigorous authentication and least-privilege authorization applied to humans."

OpenAI's models, including the advanced GPT-5.5, will also power these agents, enabling organizations to implement AI in regulated environments effectively. Jason Lee, Head of Enterprise Technology at OpenAI, highlighted the shift from experimentation to real-world applications of AI agents.

Looking Ahead

As EnterpriseClaw enters its preview phase, with general availability expected later this year, it sets the stage for a new era of enterprise automation. This capability is not just about enhancing efficiency; it redefines trust in AI operations. By integrating multiple layers of security, identity management, and advanced AI capabilities, EnterpriseClaw is positioned to lead the next wave of agent-based automation in enterprises, allowing businesses to innovate confidently.

Automation Anywhere’s commitment to evolving workplace dynamics through automation has spanned over two decades. With the introduction of EnterpriseClaw, the company reaffirms its mission to empower organizations in navigating the complexities of modern enterprise operations.
