The AI assistant, debuting in Figma Design, is built on advanced AI models specifically tailored for design applications. Loredana Crisan, Figma’s chief design officer, highlighted the significance of direction in software development, stating that as the process simplifies, the emphasis should shift to strategic decisions regarding functionality and user experience. This development comes as Figma faces growing competition from design tools like Canva, Adobe, and Krea.
