Armada has successfully closed a Series B funding round, amassing nearly $500 million in capital to bolster its development of modular data centers tailored for AI applications in remote and sensitive environments. The round, which was heavily oversubscribed, was co-led by Overmatch, BlackRock, and 8090 Industries, with significant contributions from new investors including Johnson Controls, NightDragon, Mitsui, and Singtel Innov8. Existing backers such as Founders Fund, Lux Capital, and Felicis also participated, demonstrating their confidence in Armada’s vision.

Alongside this funding milestone, Armada announced the establishment of Galleon Forge One, a large manufacturing facility in the United States that will span approximately 400,000 square feet. This facility is expected to create around 500 jobs and will begin continuous production of its Leviathan megawatt-scale modular data centers this summer. Johnson Controls will provide its expertise in thermal management and deploy 40,000 field personnel globally to support Armada’s initiatives.

The demand for Armada's solutions is clear, as customer bookings surged by an impressive 540 percent from fiscal year 2025 (FY25) to fiscal year 2026 (FY26), with the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27) showing an astronomical year-on-year growth of 2,000 percent. The company has demonstrated its capabilities through rapid deployments, including a defense organization that transitioned from identifying infrastructure needs to operational readiness in just six days. Notably, the US Navy has integrated AI into its operations during a recent multinational maritime exercise, while Norwegian oil producer Aker BP is assessing autonomous rig operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

This momentum positions Armada as a key player in AI infrastructure, especially as global demand for AI solutions continues to rise. The strategic investments and partnerships not only enhance its production capabilities but also expand its operational reach, allowing for faster and more efficient deployments of AI technologies across various sectors. With the new manufacturing facility set to come online soon, Armada is well-poised to meet the growing needs of its clients in the AI sector and beyond.

As the AI infrastructure market evolves, Armada’s focus on modular designs and rapid deployment capabilities could set a new industry standard. The combination of substantial funding, a new manufacturing hub, and strategic partnerships positions the company strongly to capitalize on the expanding AI market in the coming years.
