Inference Room Unveils Tack, the First AI Agent Storage Solution

The introduction of Tack marks a notable advancement in the AI Agent ecosystem, providing a dedicated storage and memory layer tailored for autonomous software. Launched last week, Inference Room aims to serve as a launchpad for AI Agents and their required infrastructure. Tack, its inaugural product, is available immediately, underscoring the company’s commitment to deploying solutions without delays or waitlists.

Tack's architecture allows AI Agents to operate independently, removing the need for human intervention in data management. This shift changes the typical design of storage solutions, which usually require users to set up accounts and manage API keys. Instead, Tack enables Agents to pay for storage using USDC, with pricing set at $0.0010 for a 5MB pin per month. This payment model is a significant development, as traditional cloud storage options often do not support AI Agent functionality.

Joaquin Mendes, COO of Inference Room, highlighted the importance of practical application in the AI Agent space, stating, "Most of what's being built for AI Agents today still assumes a human is sitting next to the Agent… We built Inference Room because products and tools in this space spend too long in heads and on paper, not in production." The release of Tack is complemented by a second storage track for private wallet-gated objects, enabling Agents to securely accumulate and access their state between runs.
