In a strategic move to strengthen enterprise AI capabilities, Informatica has unveiled a deeper integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) during Informatica World 2026. This collaboration aims to address a key challenge in AI adoption: the fragmentation and unreliability of data.

The integration will make Informatica's Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and CLAIRE Agent skills available across several AWS services, including AWS Agent Registry and Amazon Quick. This development enables businesses to embed governed enterprise data directly into their AI agents and workflows. As enterprises increasingly adopt generative AI and autonomous workflows, reliable data management is essential.

The partnership focuses on ensuring compliance, governance, and data accuracy across AI systems. By embedding Informatica’s headless data management tools within AWS environments, AI agents can access trusted metadata, master data, and quality controls without the complexities of custom integrations. This marks a shift towards deploying AI solutions with greater confidence in the integrity of the underlying data.

Informatica's MCP servers will enhance functionalities like metadata exploration, master data management, and data quality validation within agentic workflows on AWS. The availability of Informatica’s CLAIRE AI agents as APIs offers businesses opportunities to automate data remediation and master data management tasks through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Quick. This automation could streamline operations and lessen the manual effort required for data management.

According to Rahul Auradkar, President and General Manager of Data Foundations at Salesforce, this collaboration is set to make trusted enterprise data more accessible within AI systems. “By plugging our data management intelligence directly into AWS agentic workflows, we are giving developers and business users the tools they need to build agents that act on trusted, governed, and contextual data,” Auradkar stated.

Swami Sivasubramanian, Vice President of AWS Agentic AI at Amazon Web Services, echoed this sentiment, noting that the integration represents a significant milestone in advancing AI innovation on AWS platforms. The developments arrive as enterprises face increasing pressure to ensure compliance and data accuracy in their AI systems, underscoring the need for reliable data management in the age of AI.

Informatica’s Metadata Explorer MCP server is designed to help AI agents distinguish between sensitive and safe data, while the Master Data Management MCP server aims to reduce risks linked to duplicate or fragmented records. Data quality tools validate information at the point of entry, working to prevent downstream errors that could affect AI-driven workflows. This thorough approach to data management could enhance the reliability of AI applications and build greater trust in AI systems across various industries.

As AI continues to evolve, the collaboration between Informatica and AWS marks a proactive step toward establishing a more cohesive and reliable AI infrastructure. This integration not only boosts the capabilities of AI agents but also lays the groundwork for future innovations in enterprise AI, positioning both companies as leaders in the AI-driven data management revolution.
