In a significant move for enterprise AI integration, Jedify has announced a $24 million Series A funding round led by Norwest. This funding will support the startup's mission to refine how AI agents understand and operate within the specificities of different businesses. The platform aims to create a 'context graph' that allows AI agents to effectively navigate complex data environments, increasing their utility in corporate settings.

Based in New York, Jedify tackles a critical challenge faced by organizations: the limitations of off-the-shelf AI solutions. Vendors often market their products as ready-to-use, but AI agents need substantial training to grasp the unique definitions and structures of an enterprise’s operations. Understanding what constitutes revenue or who has access to specific files is essential for effective AI implementation. This gap has led many AI firms to employ engineers dedicated to integrating their technologies into client systems.

Jedify's platform connects with various enterprise knowledge sources through APIs, including databases, SaaS applications, and unstructured data from documentation, reports, and collaboration tools like Slack. By integrating these diverse sources, Jedify constructs a context graph that informs AI agents about the relationships between different data points, operational workflows, and company-specific terminology.

The latest funding round included participation from existing investors S Capital VC and Cerca Partners, along with new backer Oceans Ventures. Notably, data infrastructure giant Snowflake joined as a strategic investor, signaling confidence in Jedify's technology. Snowflake plans to integrate Jedify’s context graph into its existing AI products, which include services such as Cortex AI and Semantic Views.

Co-founder and CEO Assaf Henkin pointed out how organizations like Kiteworks are already leveraging Jedify’s platform. Kiteworks has connected its data tools like Snowflake and Tableau to Jedify, allowing for the creation of tailored agentic tools for varied customer workflows. Henkin explained that this setup enables sales teams to access critical information in real time during customer interactions, significantly enhancing their ability to respond to queries and drive conversations.

Jedify sets its context graph apart from traditional semantic layers and knowledge graphs by offering a multi-dimensional view that captures a wide array of relationships within an organization. This model-agnostic approach allows for real-time updates, adapting as new information flows into the system. Henkin emphasized that for AI agents to operate autonomously across various data types, such as CRM information and real-time telemetry, a context graph provides capabilities that exceed those of a mere semantic layer.

However, challenges remain, particularly regarding permissions management. Ensuring that sensitive information is accessible only to authorized personnel is crucial. Jedify addresses this by inheriting access rules from various systems and allowing customers to create specific groups that determine agent and workflow access. The platform includes governance tools to monitor AI behavior, ensuring compliance and appropriate usage.

Currently, Jedify is targeting mid-market and large enterprises with established data infrastructures. With between 10 and 20 early adopters, including The Weather Company, interest is growing in sectors reliant on data, such as gaming, industrials, and consumer goods. As AI continues to evolve, Jedify's contextual solutions may play a key role in enabling businesses to fully harness the potential of autonomous AI agents.
