BT Group has achieved a notable milestone in customer satisfaction, reporting a record Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 33.4, up 4.1 points from the previous year. CEO Allison Kirkby noted that the increase in customer satisfaction reflects a growing demand for its next-generation products and networks. The transformation initiative has already generated £580 million in gross annualized savings, with total savings over the past two years reaching £1.5 billion. BT has raised its savings target from £3.0 billion to £3.7 billion and extended the timeline for its transformation plan to March 2030, increasing its implementation budget to £1.4 billion from £1.0 billion.

Recent research from Salesforce shows a significant rise in the adoption of AI agents, jumping from 39% in 2025 to 66% in 2026 among customer service organizations. The Salesforce report also revealed that 70% of organizations deploying AI agents reported measurable value within 60 days, with customer satisfaction emerging as the top performance indicator affected by these implementations. This highlights the growing recognition that improved customer experiences are closely linked to the operational benefits of AI.
Despite some hesitance among consumers regarding AI—only 44% express trust in AI for service needs—those who have interacted with AI-powered services often report satisfaction that exceeds their expectations. Kishan Chetan from Salesforce remarked, “This research shows that agentic AI in customer service has moved from promise to proof.”
