The emphasis on proven infrastructure indicates a significant evolution in AI development. Notably, 69% emphasized the importance of infrastructure capable of sustaining AI training and inference workloads, while the same percentage highlighted the need for improved reliability and availability. In contrast, only 7% of respondents prioritized latency optimization in their planning considerations.

The company asserts that hard disk drives (HDDs) remain a crucial part of their strategy due to their cost-effectiveness and reliability, especially for large-scale data retention. HDDs are not seen as legacy solutions but as strategic components that work alongside solid-state drives (SSDs) to address the evolving data storage landscape.
